Exploratory Programs Lead
REMOTE, WITH PART OF THE YEAR IN INDIA
The Exploratory Programs Lead is responsible for identifying, designing, and launching new, evidence-based programs to improve fish welfare. International candidates are welcome; this role requires at least four months per year in India.
Salary range: 40–80K USD per year.
Main responsibilities: Program and research design, team leadership, field implementation, and strategic decision-making.
IN-PERSON IN ANDHRA PRADESH
The Research & Development Manager will lead and/or support the implementation of various R&D studies to inform strategies for improving the welfare of farmed fishes so that FWI’s interventions. Only Indians are eligible; Telugu-speaking individuals are preferred, but other applicants are welcome.
Salary range: 50–90K INR per month.
Main responsibilities: Leading and supporting R&D studies, project management, and people management
Program Manager
IN-PERSON IN ANDHRA PRADESH
Program Managers are mid-level positions that oversee our various field teams and operations in the field. Only Indians are eligible; Telugu-speaking individuals are preferred but other applicants are welcome.
Salary range: 30–50K INR per month.
Main responsibilities: People management, scientific experimentation, strategic decision-making.
International Knowledge Worker Expression of Interest
HYBRID, WITH PART OF THE YEAR IN INDIA
Our international knowledge worker roles could be a great fit for someone with strong generalist skills, and with interest in living in India and/or China for part of the year. While Indian applicants are encouraged, applicants of all nationalities are welcome. Roles of this type include management (people and project), research, operations, communications, and leadership.
