Slack Checklist

Ask yourself these before sending a message.

  1. Am I checking slack at least once a day, but not too regularly?

  2. Should I be using a thread?

  3. Am I using proper formatting (e.g. bold, italics)?

  4. Should I be including a deadline or time estimate?

  5. Am I tagging the appropriate people?

  6. Have I acknowledged that I read the messages I've read?

  7. Is this message even necessary?

  8. Am I properly using the different features in slack? E.g. reminders?

  9. Is this message concise?
